Lord, this storm that recently hit FL and GA and some other places, was touted to be a horribly strong one. It did not work out to be as powerful or destructive as predicted, and though many were damaged severely, even there, the damage was not what it could easily have been. In my own area, we had basically just another bad thunder storm. I just want to say "Thank You" for your grace and mercy in letting this storm named Irma stand down at least partially from what it might have been. Even when we fail to serve and honor you as we ought, you STILL show us your grage and mercy! You take better care of us than we do of our own selves! Thank you for your wondrous mercy and grace. May this at least serve to make some who've become strung out on whatever meant so much to them that they've forgotten Thy wondrous Power and Judgment, stop and think, and realize how great and merciful you truly are, and how immaculately wondrous. Thank you, Lord, for your tender mercy. We are so prone to err and be willful, and yet, you STILL show us mercy without our meriting any of it. If this doesn't prove thy wondrous love, what could? I pray that many will stop and think, and realize thy rightful place in our lives and our hearts. May the children and youth, especially, learn that reality is STILL just simply what it is, and that no amount of wanting it to be otherwise will ever change one whit of it, or its effects. Thank you for yet one more lesson in humility and our proper and appropriate place in the overall scheme of all that you've created and sustain. All praise be to Thee, and the wonders of Thy works. Amen.

"And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

I will admit to asking the Lord to moderate the storm if it was within his will to do so.
Bad enough as it was, it sure could have been worse.

I also asked that the Lord be with those in peril who were trying to get through the night. That he send the Holy Spirit to them to remind them to pray and repent.

I do believe that it is just one more reminder that we are supposed to put less stock in earthly things, and repent.

Lord thank you for all of your blessings. Glory be to GOD in the highest.

Amen to the thanksgiving for less than damage!

From this part of the country I'm thankful for hurricanes! It's about the only way we get any real rain from August through October! The last several years we have suffered extremely dry late summer early fall weather. Last year it didn't rain from mid Aug until Halloween! These things bring some good with the bad.
