Double Distinguished is a great achievement but he is not the only enlisted active duty member to do it. The other inaccuracy in the article is the claim Distinguished is military only. Civilians can become Distinguished also.

What a great accomplishment!

I was working on that distinction, but 9-11 happened and shooting teams and matches fell to the wayside given the operational tempo of my units in the GWOT. I did manage to get part way there (see signature below), but it's an elusive honor.

Once again, congrats to a fine shooter and Coast Guardsman.
