I ask for prayer for Jim . He has multiple health problems right now . He is carrying a full work load and then some . Then in his off time he helps us here ...but he never complains .
I have visited Jim's church and can vouch for the fact that he preaches the true word of GOD . I have found Jim to be a good and honest man . He tries to help all , at times to the detriment of his health . He and his wife are truly GOD's servants . His wife is having health issues also yet they keep working on .

Please pray for Jim and his wife that they can continue to glorify our Lord through their efforts . Pray for their health problems and ministry .

Thank you

I will most certainly pray for his quick recovery and relief from what ails him. Had a number of good conversations with him and look forward to many more, I hope they are both feeling better soon.

Grmps yours is a good question . I think my reply should be on the ..Pray for Preacher Jim thread here below .

Jim's knees are gone , he sits to preach . Lost breathing capacity ...15% in the worst lung . He is 74 years old and still pastoring in a full time church , counseling , running a pantry ....and being a good friend to everyone he meets , loves to witness , encourage and love people . He never complains ....you have never heard him here mention his physical problems. He teaches the true word of GOD from the bible (heard him) to lead . I have high respect for him .

He is going to be mad at me for putting this up and give me heck but he deserves recognition . My highest call......A good and honest man , I don't give that lightly . He is a man you can trust .

That said he is one of the strongest men I know .

Boaz, thanks for giving us the details so we can more effectively pray for Pastor Jim and his wife, Mary. Their need touches me and I know that Jesus not only knows, but feels their infirmities. He can and will help them in their time of need.
Dear Lord I bring to you Jim and Mary this morning. Lord, they are true warriors in the fight for the advancement of your kingdom here on earth. I humbly add my prayers to those others here and ask that you place your healing hands on them both right now and that they will immediately be lifted up so that you might continue to receive the glory and honor for their ministry to not only us, but those around them in their area. Lord for Pastor Jim, I specifically ask that you do a healing work on his knees so that he can be up and about his daily activities without pain, and also that you increase his lung function so that he can continue to breath with proper oxygen. Touch Mary as she is having an emergency procedure as we pray. In your mighty name we ask this. Amen.

Gee whiz, Jim! Praying you and Mary get the reprieve you both need! Sorry to have not been here earlier. Been fighting some of my own problems here, and just haven't felt right to try to pitch in here, but even so, you and all the regulars here are always in my prayers, whether I check in here or not. God bless you and Mary both, and may our Lord send you both the healing you need to continue your diligent and wonderful work. Amen.

"Eat steak tonight!!!???" I sure wish my docs would give me that Rx!!! Great to hear, Jim. You must be made of the "good stuff" our forebears were made of. Those were some TOUGH folks, and God blessed them richly. Maybe TOO richly? Our generation didn't learn what they did, and the newer generations don't have a clue what it took to get them to this point in this world! You always inspire me, Jim, and that ain't exactly an easy thing to do, brother! Thanks!

Jim, I admire your spunk and get-up-and-go, but SOMETIMES, the Good Lord gave us a brain so we can know when to quit, and take it easy, and let folks learn to get along without us! I love your passion, and I think there's a special place in God's heart for really passionate men. But we CAN, if we let it, let that passion drive us to places where we are NOT magnified, but are diminished. The folks who rely on and depend on you MUST see you take care of yourself. God didn't give us these brains just to WANT things, but to know when to say "enough," and when to cut back for a bit, so we can carry on later.

I know you love your work, and want to do even more, but sometimes, you have to let folks who depend on you learn to fend for themselves, or at least tread water a bit, so you can continue your work. Remember, we can't always have what we WANT, but if we are humble enough to listen to the Lord, and use our brains for something besides justifying what we WANT to do, we'll all live a lot longer in all probability. So .... know when to slow down and take it easy, and when to rest, and you'll get a lot more done in your life. You're "ripe," now and can do more with less. Use that. It's good when folks have to figure out some things for themselves. It helps keep them from becoming dependent on you, and makes them more self sufficient, and self sufficient Christians are the best kind, and can do much more than the dependent kind. You'll be doing both yourself AND them a favor! None of us is 10 ft. tall, bulletproof and immortal any more! I keep getting reminders of that more regularly than I think I really need them, but ..... I don't have the best track record of being judicious in those judgments, so ..... I'll go with what the Lord sends me! And I absolutely HATE slowing down, but compared to the other option .... well, let's just say I HAVE to take that option!

God bless you my brother!

Father God. Continue to be with Jim and watch over him. Give the doctors wisdom while dealing with the collapsed lung. We ask for healing in this. We praise you for the strength he has so that he can continue with the ministry that you have called him to. May he be a beacon to all as they see him doing your work. If any see him that do not know you as their God or accepted your Son and their savior may they see the work that you are doing through him and come to you. Bless him and keep him safe. Preacher Jim,
I've been following this thread since a while back and have been saying a prayer each time Boaz has updated us. It's been a while since we've had any dealing but I recall that you treated my very fair a few years ago on a deal we struck up. I'm so very happy to have the update and glad that things are looking on the plus side for a change.

Gee whiz, Jim! Thank you for that great report! Maybe this was just a lesson God sent to you that you simply CAN not do what you've been used to doing for so long now? Billy Graham has had to slow down. He accepted his limitations gracefully. You'll never, as Boaz said, "leave the field," but maybe it's time to cut back SOME of your activities, and become more selective about what you take on and what you let slide. When you get to Heaven, you'll owe NOBODY an apology for what you've done here! You've won my respect and admiration for your passion and fearless and unrelenting efforts on our Lord's behalf. But this isn't a one-man show! ALL of us, including your congregation, must at some point begin to do our OWN work, and help those who've tended us so faithfully for so long by doing more and taking up some slack. You're a leader in addition to a shepherd, so see if a little delegating won't make things better for ALL of you concerned. God be with both of you.

Father God. Thank you for the good report from Jim. Continue to be with him and keep him well for the work you will have him do. Continue to lay your hands on him and heal him of this problem with the bad lung. Keep him strong so that he can continue with his work. He does this all for you and your glory. In the name of your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray. Amen.
