I have a .30 Carbine and I have probably 3K pieces of brass for it. I have a Lee mould that drops them out at around 125gr in a roundnose design. Does anyone have a load for a .30 Carbine using PB boolits of the 125-130gr flavor?:Fire:

The Lyman Cast boolet handbook has loads for the 130 grain 311410

The Max loads are:
12.7 gr. IMR 4227
12.0 gr. 2400
6.0 gr. SR-4756
6.1 gr. Unique

I've found 10.5 2400 will work the action reliably and 11.5 gives me the best accuracy. My 2400 is the old Herc type. Some folks say the newer stuff is a little hotter.

Good ideas above. I've been using 13 grains of H 4227 with my 311359 PT GC (120 grains in my alloy) for years. Reliable function and quite decent accuracy.

Good Luck in your quest! Is this by chance a "new to you" CMP Carbine? Tell us more.

My Uncle gave it to me. It's a Winchester made Carbine with a mint bore. He got in the 1950's and fired only a few hundred rounds out of it. The only thing I don't like is that he put a scope on it and threw the sight away. He did give me 20 magazines for it with a few 30 rounders. 4 stocks and a flash hider. @ sets of dies and about 20 pounsds of FMJs and soft point bullets. I have gobbs of brass for it too.
