Several years ago I happened on a web address to a fellow in Florida who specialized in new barrels for vintage Winchester lever guns. Well, due to a faulty memory, (and DELLS, cough! support team) I lost it. He makes new barrels for the oldies with vintage markings, (his own markings are also on them, so as to curtail any unscrupulous individuals. I believe he also does custom restorations like Doug Turnbull also on Winchesters and Parkers, so-on.
I have an old well worn, but mechanically fit 1894 saddle carbine that won't shoot worth a hoot due to some very serious pits, (all internal, the outside shows just plain honest wear, as they were working guns, not sporters). She was born in 1898 and even features the optional platinium leaf sights that the factory offered back then. I'd like to get her shooting a little better than 10" patterns at the 100yd line!
