What's the blue/grey coating on the outside of your checks?

My plain base gas checks made with Pat Marlin's PB checkmaker and Yonky's aluminum strips, .010 thick.

it's just the coating that's on Lith plate, for the Lith process.

I've been working on perfecting a GC & PC for a while and I feel that I have finally made a real break through. Nice PC finish without hindering the Gas Checks ability to do its job properly. Best part is I can do them in bulk without spending a pile of time on them. The mould is a Al Nelson (Noe) 500 S&W 2 GC and 2 PB that runs about 400 grains with my alloy. My X-Frame Loaded with these boolits at darn near full house it's quite a handful!
