Are Marines nostalgic? If so, here's a 1948 copy of "Guidebook For Marines" published by The Leatherneck Association. 372 pages in length, covers everything that a Marine needed to know at that time. Belonged to a fellow named Jerry Arena who stamped his name here and there throughout the pages, and inside the back cover has his dates of rank for Pvt. and Pfc. in 1952. I'll be happy to put this in a padded envelope and ship it to you at no cost. I would like it to go to a retired Marine who would value it. So...Sound Off!

P.S. This turned up among my many books when I recently moved to sort of a remote area, so I might not get down to the post office for about a week. But...the price is right!

An ancient Bluejacket's Manual would be cool!

You know...I have one of those also........somewhere. It may or may not ever surface again. I think it was WW II vintage. I've got lots of books and they were all stored away for the recent relocation, and as I moved into a smaller place I no longer have room for the library. If I ever do turn it up I'll post it also.

Brass, you got me thinking. I've got mine from 82 and my Dad's from 43. I'm hanging on to them though. :)

Still have a field manual from the USMC I got in 1965 while going thru prison camp school while in Okinawa. That school was a tough time, especially when the other Marines were trying to hunt you down.
