Hi,

I thought the classic revivals were great until I found out they all have those !(!^W$%#@#! politically correct locks built into them.
No sale... I'd rather buy an original M1917 for the same price.
If they didn't have that stupid lock, I would have gladly bought the repro.
Leave it to S & W to mess up something really good.

Heritage series guns were all sold through Lew Horton in, I think, 2000 and 2001. To the best of my knowledge none of them had locks.

The Classic series guns are different animals entirely. I shoot mine on a regular basis, and the locks don't bother me much.
