even thow i have casted 100,00s of bullets, i am still learing. thanks to the people that said they run there temp. hotter for alum. molds. i was getting a unfiled line on some bullets sume times but not all the time. this is 45 acp 190 gr. lee swc. i was running 700 de. i casted 2000 this weekend. i set it to 750 de. they look grate. i know that alum. molds heat and cool faster so i guess this is why lead temp. being hotter is better than when using steel molds. i was using 2- 6 cav molds rotating with ea. cast. 15 sec. cycle . thanks

Useing two molds, your 750 degrees is pretty close to right. If you used one six cavity mold and a fan, you could lower it to 725 degrees easily and run a 12 second cycle.
