As of Monday the lifetime national park pass goes up from $10 to $80 for anyone 62 or older. If you might want one, that's $70 you can save!

No, not all, they list I've 100. Sites that charge admission. I do know the National military park in vicksburg, charges. Part is free that the locals have short trail thru.
List of parks that charge...

Oh, and only vets with disabilities are eligible fo free pass it appears. In fact any disability will get you approval. If you travel and have grandkids or 4elatives under 62, the pass gets every one in car thru the gate free. Well worth jumping thru hoops to save the money

And, in some parks, it gets you a discount on things you buy. Not always, not all, but worth a check.

They charge at the Grand Canyon, the Badlands, the petrified forest, etc., this will get you in there. We went to the Grand Canyon and the lady at the shack saw a handicapped placard and she hooked me up with a pass! Very nice of her!
It DOES NOT work at Mt Rushmore though, the parking lot is privately owned and operated? Then there's only six hadicap parking stalls! Probably not a big deal most times but we went during bike week.
If you can get one, they are very well worth it, saved my wife and I $100 easily in the last two years.
