How many guys are heating bullets before tumbling or putting in the vibratory tumbler? Do you think you get a better coat this way?

I saw it on Elvis Ammo, I tried it for some HF PC it definitely coated better.

Rarely, when I did, it did seem to help stick, almost like it semi-melted the PC, and made it stick physically vs electrostatically?

I don't seem to have too bad a time getting it to stick as it is (room temp). I have done VT once, usually just shake-n-bake. Maybe 2-5 minutes, but could shake for less.

You get your bullet to warm and you'll have a color coated lead glob

It will get the chill off and if the humidity is high often helps increase the charge if you tumble coat. Just don't get too hot or you can get a colored glob or melt bullets--I know first hand! Lesson learned!

I don't heat after trying it a couple time and the paint was clumpy. After that I bought smokes powder and there was no need. It covers great...Just tumble.
