Powders

I'm loading for the 45-70 and looking for powders that are not position sensitive. Would like to be in the 1400/1500 FPS range w/350gr bullets and no fillers and a clean, consistant powder burn.

24 grains of 2400. 1450-1500 fps with no unburt powder in my 22" barrel. Excellent accuracy also. YMMV

Look to some of the VV powders. Very very clean.

I like 3031 in my 45-70. Sr4759 works very well too if you have any.
