Permabanned because of some Facebook comments I believe. In his case it was a matter of time. He only saw things his way and many threads went south because of it. Not saying he wasn't knowledgeable. But a lot of threads were ruined because of his resistance to accept that people wanted to do it a different way.

He seemed like a nice guy and had some knowledge to share. But his accuracy claims as to how well he could shoot his revolvers were way out there. His claims were so extreme it caused me to question most of what he posted.

He thought that because he has been here since the beginning of time and had umpteen jillion posts that he could say whatever he wanted to. I'm surprised that he lasted as long as he did. He was knowledgeable, but as previously pointed out he derailed a lot of good threads.

If banned for Facebook posts, that is unforgivable and wrong of the management. Members were always told if they have a complaint, take it somewhere else. It is no one's business of what someone posts elsewhere.

It was the Castboolits FB page if I remember right. It happened a while ago so I could be wrong. No. 1 spoke spoke about it after it happened.

I miss shooting only the left ear off a off a bug @ 350 yds. due only to hands being a little shaky and using magnum primers in the 44 mag. ;) Most of it was fun. I may have to give him a call.

All I can say it had nothing to do with off site posts. Staff actions are not up for discussion.

I like him. I dont always agree with him. He's an old coot for sure, and I believe he can shoot like he says. Mostly cause I can shoot better than most and i can see how others wouldnt believe him, cause there has been times they didnt believe me, and I aint as good as he is.

I considered him a friend. I didn't allways agree with him but that would have been pretty boring. He was a knowlegable shooter and caster and shared a lot of good knowledge here. I don't know what he did to get a permanent ban but being kind of confrontational myself I do know that you usually get fair warning your stepping over the line before drastic action is taken here.

Jim was my friend then and he is now. Sometimes we all just need to lighten up a little.

Jim was eccentric and over the top at times but I liked him and enjoyed most of his posts.
