I would like to know if anyone here have used the Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Charge powder dispenser?

I got an email advertising these for $159.
Seems like a fair price, and I'm in the market for a decent powder dispenser.
Hornady enjoys a pretty good reputation in the reloading community, so, does the Auto Charge "measure up" (pun intended)?

Thanks for your help.

mine works fine as long as I keep it lubed up. never checked the accuracy because I run a powder cop after it, its always with in tolerance for the powder cop. it did take me some time to get it set up so it would do a full rotation.

There's a ton of info out there on the LnL powder through expander set-up...
Mine runs OK but it sure isn't my favorite as far as throwing consistent...but it works well after you have taken the time to fully understand the auto-throw function of all that hardware.

I keep mine clean and empty when not being used...I lubricate with powdered graphite. Having it work smoothly is almost everything. The other almost everything is to adjust it so that the metering plug travels full swing between top and bottom stroke.

Outside of that, that's pretty much it.
A fella named Bill Morgan...aka-'76 Highboy' does one of the better instructional videos.

good luck there . . . c h a r l i e

I love mine.
Go to the FAQ section on their web site and see how to adjust the trickle start time and trickle speed.....dale

Dale can you run a test on your LNL auto charge and see if it acts the same way as the Chargemasters 1500, as far as auto zeroing.

Interested in one of these too. Any comments on usability?
