I'm not getting any younger. This beauty needs a new home. I'm now asking for $2600. O.T.D. This includes all the equipment to load and make cases (Win, 45-70 brass ) and molds for casting boolets as well as shipping to your chosen
licensee.
This is one of John's earlier creations, a Bisley Black Hawk frame. 5 1/2" bbl. without a banded front sight.

If I get my price I'll donate 5% to the forum. The buyer must submit a signed copy of his receiver,s BATF license.

I've re-examined the previously submitter pictures & can find no fault in them. Pics taken with a cell phone will not be any better.

Hang on chum. Once you've bottomed out the only way is "UP".

John Linebaugh is not getting any younger guys and there will a time when the only way to get one of Johns guns is to find one like this. A pretty darn good deal with all the stuff thrown in. I have it's barrel banded twin in the safe or it would be headed to Oregon.

Spoke to Pepe when he posted it. Nice guy with a solid family. Now, I'm flat out of cash. Glad you are getting it.

I do hope he is ok--did sound like he kept active the few times we spoke.

Well folks, I'm home again. I found some folks to help me set up my "pop up" so I could enjoy a week of Bluegrass music. In my position one can never be sure of your future tunes. Just got home today, still feeling good. found all these posts waiting my responses. Well, we can end it all now. Two gents post an "I'll take it", less than 2 hrs apart.
My treasure with accessories will go to GL49 in Oregon. Regrets to "strangwn". It was a very close one.
Also thanks to White Eagle for the bumps.
I'll be in touch with the Administration boss when the transaction is completed to fulfill my promise.

You will never regret this. I bought one of John's guns several years ago. Paid a little more but it had the barrel band and ivory micarta grips. When I talked to him I asked when it was made. He told me about the build number and when I looked it up, he said it was either 1990 or 91(He gave me the exact date, I just can't remember.)

The only thing you won't need is the stuff to make cases. Starline makes cases for .475. I seem to remember that cases made from 45-70 have a bigger rim. Again, I don't always remember correctly.

EDIT: I just read Pepe Ray's post. Congrats to GL49
