Does anyone have one of these and shoot cast out of them ?

Interested to hear what cast bullet designs work best and velocity & accuracy you've been able to extract from factory throating and 1 in 16" twist.

I would also be interested in any information on shooting 35 Whelen using cast. I've made 225gr jacketed before and it would sure save some money not having to buy jackets.

Back on mute. 8-)

Not a 7600, but a Shilen 14 twist on a 700 action. I shoot the 358009 Improved over 40.0/IMR4895 for about 1900 fps. Not sure that the 16 twist will stabilize the 358009. I use necked up LCNM 30-06 brass.

I have a custom Rem 700 in .35 Whelen with a 1:12 twist. I use the 280g Lyman 358009 boolit outta 3:1 (ww:lino) alloy, and 48g of 4064 for a velocity of 2150fps and 1 to 1.5 MOA accuracy. --Shuz
