My son likes .22 RF handguns & rifles. At a recent estate sale he was able to be the high bidder on: #41 S&W, H.S. S/matic, 1891 S&W ss, (2) Win.#63, Win #67 FG & Mauser ss.

The subject of this thread is the 4 molds pictured:
H&G #50 6 cav.
H&G #50 2 cav
H&G #45 4 cav (.429)
Lyman #358477 2 cav.

All 4 cost him $25.00.

I do not normally shoot WC & I'd need a 3 groove lube die for the Star, but it'd be a shame to let these #50s go unused.

Wow ! you are livin' right !!;-)

If your reference to needing a die for the #50 , check the one you have in the normal .357(ish) range . You may find some of the holes are plugged with shot . On the other hand try the bullet with a lube like 50/50 Alox and you may find that it only needs one groove with a good lube .

Congrats on finding that #45 , I haven't seen one since H&G closed up shop .

Maybe he should buy a lottery ticket.

Great find! The nice thing is that they won't be laying around somewhere rusting and someone will get some use out of them! Enjoy!

Jack,
I have 2 .358 size dies: 1 set up for 1 groove & the other for the closest thing I have to a WC (#358432). I think I'll do as you suggest & convert the 2 groove item to a 3 groove. I can always add or subtract as needed................now, to locate some Bullseye.
