I had a guy at a small tire shop give me a 5 gallon bucket full of WWs. Only issue is that they were a mixture of stick on weights. I would say i came out with about 40lbs or so. Will these be ok for 9mm bullets or do i need to add something such as tin to it ? Thanks for any advice. Ive been reading up on casting but still have some questions.

Soww are pretty much pure lead you would definitely want to mix in some other alloys to bring up the hardness. Or melt it down to ingots and sell or trade some for other alloy.

Straight clip-on weights should work fine in 9mm and most other hand gun rounds. The stick-on will be nearly pure and too soft unless you add other alloy. Read the stickies on sorting wheelweights and the XFR test on clip-on and stick-on weights. This will help you a lot. Good Score and Welcome to the Forum by the way!
