I stop here now and then and the questions asked at times and reply's they get I have to scratch my head.
A request on another forum for a book about paper patching and this made me go through my online collection of books I have from the late 1800rds. Here is a very good read from a book from 1892 on many subjects well worth reading. Yes it is related to black powder rifles but patching and lubes used when black powder was in use and it will also work with smokeless....Start where this link starts and read on down to the next chapter that goes into patching.

Very good reading!
A book worth searching out I would think.
I see the Firearms Classics Library reprinted it.
