QUICKLOAD DATA Help Me Investigate 45 Colt +P+!

This is part of a methodical investigation using lightweight copper monolithic bullets in 45 Colt +P+. This inquiry is for research and investigation purpose only and does not represent actual load data. Someone with Quickload please help if you can!

GUN INFO:
Gun: RH 45 Colt
Barrel Length: 4.20"
Twist: 1:16" RH

COMPONENTS-INFORMATION / QUICKLOAD INPUTS:
Bullet type: Lehigh 'Xtreme Defense' Copper Monolithic Fluted Solid
Bullet Weight: 135 grains
Bullet Diameter: .452"
Bullet Length: .600"
Bullet Projection Length: .315"
Seating Depth: .285"
Brass: Starline, 45 Colt
Case Trim Length: 1.275"
OAL: 1.590"
Crimp style: firm roll crimp

POWDER CHARGES THAT I NEED PRESSURE / VELOCITY QUICKLOAD ESTIMATES FOR (ALL USE THE SAME COMPONENT SETUP AS LISTED ABOVE):

1)
18 grains True Blue [Clarification: Ramshot True Blue]
Primer: Large Pistol (CCI 300)

2)
30 grains 2400
Primer: Large Pistol (CCI 300)

3)
30 grains 2400
Large Pistol Magnum (CCI 350) – out of curiousity

4)
34 grains Accurate #9, compressed
Primer: Large Pistol (CCI 300)

(Please note, This is NOT load data intended for use in any gun, this is strictly a pressure / velocity inquiry for discussion only. Quickload investigation to satisfy curiosity. )

Can anyone please run me some pressure / velocity figures using their Quickload software? I expect that these theoretical figures should all likely exceed 30,000 psi. I will be much appreciative and it may also help others.

Thanks for posting a picture of the bullet.
I was wondering how they were going to get it to be taller than it is wide.

No xtreme bullet database so i took a barnes and modified it to the xtreme data.

QL does not differentiate between primer brands and or model.

By true blue i take it you mean Blue Dot?

1) 18gr Blue Dot: 16,7kpsi, 1200fps

2) 30gr of 2400 is 114% filling!!!: 44.9kpsi, 1833fps

3) Se above

4) 34grains #9 is 115% filling!!!: 79kpsi, 2200fps

I would pull the trigger on the first one! The rest is on you ;-)

Ask and ye shall recieve:

18grains Ramshot True Blue: 29.7kspi, 1547fps

To spicy for me!

Thanks 17nut, I appreciate you running that through Quickload.

Thanks 17nut, I greatly appreciate you running that through Quickload!

The 18gr was actually for Ramshot True Blue:

Yes, these pressures would almost certainly blow up even a Casull SRH and also demolish the shooter's hand. But it is still useful to know that I'm definitely not going there with my gun!

That is why I stated from the get-go this is a mental exercise only, definitely not load data anyone should use.

The seating depth for the Barnes monolith might be deeper maybe possibly effecting Quickload's calculations. I don't have or ever used Quickload so I couldn't say.

As i said i modified a Barnes bullet to the xtreme length and weight so as far as calculations there is no difference.
Here is what a QL calculation looks like:

That's some pretty nifty stuff, Thanks for sharing that.

A brief aside, this left me wondering how Quickload computes its data for a compressed load..
