Hi I am thinking about buying this mould.

Does anyone use it in their 270? If so how well does it shoot and how slow have you taken it? My rifle has a 1:10 twist.

Thanks

Very interested in this mold as well. I am wanting to venture into casting for a rifle, an M70 in 270 Win.

I have the gas checked version. I have just started experimenting in a Steyr Manlicher M1950. I don't have results yet. I'm hoping to get to the range in the next week or two.

I have the gas checked version. I love it although I have not tried it without the checks. I cast them out of 92/6/2, coat them with HF red, size at .279 and load them over about 18gr of Longshot for about 1800fps. They all went into one ragged hole out of a BSA .270 at about 30yds and seem accurate in the other 270s i have tried them in (BLR, model 70) but have not had the chance yet to do a serious accuracy test.

Let us know when you can test out to 100 yards. If I buy this mold, I would like to do the plain based and keep well under 2000fps, using red dot for a mild recoiling load. My Win M70 is murder on my shoulder with the stock butt pad. Its hard as a rock compared to a friends Ruger American in 270.
