Fryed some vadalia onions and some fresh garlic out of the garden in bullet and through in some deep fried skinless chicken thighs and a couple more sticks of melted butter. Served over pasta. I do this about once a year but it sure is good.

Why only once a year? It sounds mighty good. I have about 300 pounds of granex onions ( I can't call them Vidalia because they are grown in my field) left in my cooler, and they are starting to sprout. I am selling, giving away, and eating them as fast as I can. We are having marinated chicken thighs (with skin) for supper tonight. The side dish will be stir fried squash and onions. Lots of onions.

Garlic and onion will do far more to lower the cholesterol than the butter will raise it.

Butter is healthy!

When I have to many onions I dehydrate them after chopping. Toss into stews, soups etc without re-hydrating. Re-hydrate and drain for on top of burgers, in omelets... get them dry enough and vacuum bag they last 2 years.

its even better in my opinion if you use shrimp instead of chicken but my fussy wife wont eat shrimp.

I wish someone would change the title of this thread to Cholesterol Bomb !

Every time I see the words "Coletaral Bomb" , my twisted mind spell checks and reads it as "Colorectal Bomb" and that's not a good thing....I don't like going there ! A very gross and unpleasant experience .

Lori and I love yellow squash and Vidalia onions. Sometimes I think I'm going to turn into a vegetarian like her daughter and her daughter's husband. Except for green leafy veggies.......
