Does anybody cast for this caliber. I have a vintage Remington Varmaster in this caliber. With J Bullets, 85gr Sierra bullets, at two hundred yards groups are under 1.5".
I have looked at several molds but nothing is making me jump into casting for another caliber.

I'm just starting to for my sons single shot. I managed to find a decent deal on a used 70gr LBT mold from here, have a couple loaded up, but it's been too hot to shoot right now.

A week or two ago, I bought a 95 grain RCBS mold and made a few hundred bullets, from 50/50 water dropped wheel weights and range scrap. I've shot this same alloy to 1900 fps in my 30 cal guns with zero leading. This mold is a winner so far, the bullets fall from the mold at .244 and look really good. The rifles I'm loading for are, a 243 Winchester in a 7400 Remington and a #1 Ruger 6mm Remington.

I shoot the 95 grain RCBS made bullets using 11.0 of Unique or 10.0 of Red Dot sized to .244". Very accurate out to 250 yards in my Rem 700. I also have a GC making tool and make my own GCs for it.

I use the NOE 245-75-FN
I like Reloder 7 with it.

I had the NOE 105gr mold, but found it was too long for my rifle's throat and I didn't like seating it so deep.

I had a lyman mold, Loverin style (I forget the number?) it shot well, but that particular mold was a challenge to cast with.

The RCBS 95 grain loaded with 18 grains of RL-7 is a very accurate load in the 243. I have shot this load out of 5 different 243 and they all will shoot around a 1 inch group at 100 yards

Is this the mold everyone is talking about? I'm looking to use it for a pre-64 Win Mod 70. 243 Win.
