No, I have no experience with this mold. Beyond that this must be the first day I have looked at and studied this pattern. It is different, so much so I am wondering how many other patterns I have overlooked in the past. We're never too old to learn....

I know it has loading data in some of the old Ideal Handbooks for the S&W American & Russian. I thought of loading it in 44 Special. it will work, we all know that without taking a poll, just interested in finding out how rare it is, asking for experience is a way to do that. Thank you...

I have Lyman Manuals from 1953 on (No 39) and have no recollection of ever seeing load data for this odd duck. If seated to crimp in the top groove, you would have a lot of boolit in the case. Makes you wonder who thought that was a good Idea.
Were I to work with this boolit, In 44 Special, I would start with 4.0 grains of Bullseye or Red dot, or 4.5 grains of WW-231, chronograph it, and then proceed from there, looking for 700-800 fps. In a 44 Mag, I'd start at 8 grains of Unique or Herco, or 8.0 grains of Power Pistol. and look for 1000 FPS or so. I would not try to red line this boolit.

Did a little more.......found that it was listed with data in Ideal Hand Books 31, thru 41.

That's odd. My #39 lists this bullet as available, but does not provide data for a 214 grain bullet. No data is provided for it in the 1957 Cast Bullet Handbook. I think you are on your own on this one.

Yup, just a lonely curiosity; fun trivia....that's all.
