Saw some VERY interesting straight pull rifles. All of them were of the Swiss looking/type rifles. The gent must have had about 20-25 of them. Now, here is the kicker. They were all .22 RF's. There was also a 4mm conversion. Also with that collection there was a "gizzmo" that I forget what the called it. A spring and rod looking device that went down the barrel. It actually punched a little hole in the target which is maybe about 12" past the muzzle. It was some kind of training device.
The attendence was down from what is normal. A pretty mixed up bag of stuff along with a mixed bag of folks.
I ran across a friend there. I knew he had some pretty good knowledge of Mosin Nagant rifles. I thought I would just bend his ear a little. Danged if I don't think I need one now...............
He has only shot ball type ammo and that is about it.
I come here humbled once again to ask any of you what the scoop is with them and CB's.
What is the going rate on prices? I would take one in poor cosmetic condition as long as the bore is good. The things are as ugly as a mud fence IMHO to begin with.
Wish I had some pics of the Swiss 22's as they were very interesting, sorry.
