My friend and I are trying to find a synthetic stock for his pre-Mark V Weatherby in 300 Wby Mag. The serial # is in the 3### range so it is made with a FN Mauser action.

We are wondering if a stock made for a commercial Mauser action would work. So far I've found one review of the Hogue full bedded stock that was used by a guy to restock a gun just like my friend's.

Does any one have any input?

Thanks

.

Measure the distance between the rearmost guard screw and the screw located at the front end of the floorplate to determine if you have a standard length FN action or a magnum length.

Standard = 7.835"

Magnum = 8.207"

If it's a standard length action, most stocks made for a standard commercial Mauser 98 should be able to be fitted to your barreled action.

If it's a magnum-length action, your search will be a bit lengthier & costlier.
