I won a lot of several shell holders, most I have identified. However, included were 4, cylinders the size of universal shell holders, 1/2 inch deep, with female threads. Anyone here ever encountered these before?

Hard to say without a photo.

The Hollywood Junior uses a cylinder nut to secure the shell holder. But it is about 1.5-2 inches long, about 7/16 diameter(?).

Man, I remember presses that took male threaded shell holders
but not female threaded??

Looks like google found a match as

Does it look like a match?

I forgot about the Echo. Mine are buried right now.

I should have remembered because the Echo shell holders use a small special spanner type wrench to tighten them.

That's a match. The spanner note explains the 1/4 x 1/16 slot in the side of the cylinder opposite the opening for the shell in the top.
Thanks, my computer is refusing to recognize the USB ports, making posting pictures a major production.

When I saw the picture I thought "those are Echo shell holders." I have an Echo press that I use as my decapping station. I replaced the ram with a RCBS unit that accepts modem snap-on shell holders, but kept the original ram, spanner, and, I think, the few shell folders that came with it when I bought it.
