That ought to make a dandy trail gun, particularly those with small to medium hands. I have a .32 H & R Ruger SP-101 with 4" barrel. The rear sight on my .32 is only adjustable for windage and I couldn't zero it. I had a pistolsmith install a red dot sight. Now, it does about anything I ask of it.

I have large hands and it IS a bit small. However, it shoots really well with both .32 S&W Longs and .32 H&R Mags with my home cast bullets.

That Match .357 ought to be a decent alternative to other available ..357's.

Really wish they would make a skinny or half lug barrel in the SP101 4".

Am I reading the LCRx info correctly?

A stainless frame and what ruger is callings a "polymer fire control housing".

It sort of looks like a metal frame and a plastic grip frame/trigger housing in the picture. Interesting concept.

Ok, guess I'm an idiot, they are showing two different model numbers, but I'm not finding what's different between this one, http://www.ruger-firearms.com/products/lcr/specSheets/5450.html that I've had 3-4yrs now, and the one linked above, anyone?

1 has a extrenal hammer (LCRx) the regular LCR does not.
LCR ='s Model # 5450
LCRx ='s Model # 5460

I wish they would make the LCRx in 9mm. Tons of cheap brass and more power than the .38 Spl.

Agree, love my 9mm LCRs and a LCRx 9mm would be cool
But the .357 LCRx is a good start

The polymer doesn't bother me in the least. The new trigger design has me looking forward to range reports. IMHO the lcr's are the best snub nosed 357's on the market right now.

Ruger's 1 in 16 twist in their snub nosed 38spl/357 revolvers has always appealed to me. I do find it odd that they are putting a 1 in 18.75 twist in their 3" bbl'd LCRx 38spl p+ version of the LCRx line.

As an old S&W shooter the last thing I need is a heavier 101.

I am supper excite to see Ruger showing some attention to the revolver market. The 44 spl GP100 was a great addition as are the two mentioned by the OP. I Would like to see them slap some adjustable sights on their 3 inch GP100 357. At any rate glad to see the new variations.
