I need your prayers.

On Thursday morning I will be going into the VA hospital to have shots put in my lower back. The opening in my L1-L4 vertibra has narrowed to 3 mm. I am in constant pain but try not to let it show. I have been told that there is something like a 10-20 percent chance that I could come out of this paralized from the waist down. If that is God's will I can accept it. It would be hard as I am trying to stay as active as I can. I need your prayers that He would see fit to let me NOT be paralized so that I can at least go on preaching the Gospel Of Christ.

Prayers up for you Albert. I've had a little experience with a disintegrated disc, and I had no idea one could have that much pain and still live! FWIW, as I understand it (and I'm no doc), the only real cure is to fuse the vertebrae. That's what they did for me, anyway, and it has given me ZERO problems since. A lot of ins. companies insist on doing everything else before resorting to that, though. I truly wish you well, and will pray for a full healing of your problem, at least for a while. UPDATE.
The procedure went well yesterday. I am a little sore (to be expected) from all the shots that they put in. They put 3 numbing shots in and then 5 other shots. Only complaint I have is that they didn't give the numbing shots much time to work. I am no longer in pain! Don't know how long that will last but I can hope and pray.
Speaking of prayers, Thank you all for praying for me. I believe it was the power of prayer that brought me through because God answered them.

I don't know you, but I've said a quick prayer for your continued safety during treatment and healing.

My wife gets what I believe to be similar shots, they are effective for her for anywhere from a month to 6 months. We have heard of people that get relief for 18 months from one round, but that hasn't been her experience. It really isn't a very exact form of treatment, but when there are few options and a very urgent need it provides welcome relief.

You mentioned healing so that you may continue to witness and preach. I had the great privilege of meeting Tiffany Johnson a couple weeks ago. If you haven't heard of her she's easy to find with google, try her name and Concord NC. Her faith is remarkable, in fact that's how I'd describe her generally. I think you'd enjoy reading about her experience.
