WTB 50 cal shell

Hello guys,

I would like to buy a single 50 cal shell. Fired, not loaded, unsized, you know, empty.

I have started casting 50 cal maxi balls for my muzzleloader and I want to pan lube them.

I thought that I would try to make a "cookie cutter" for my boolits with an empty 50 cal shell.

If you have one that you can spare please let me know how much you would like for it, including postage.

Have you tried 1/2 inch clear vinyl plastic tubing? You can store them in the tubing.

I'll offer another idea, maybe try using a 500 S&W shell or other 50 cal pistol caliber to make a spring loaded cookie cutter. These were parts I had laying around, but if you are handy you could make one with a brass case a nail and a short piece of wood dowel, search for a Thread by Ben, it's an older thread but he shows all the details with lots of photos. btw, a spring really isn't needed

You may need to expand the 500 s&w case to get you boolits cut. The 500 is a 0.500" case. Fired it may run 0.505" to 0.510" or so. Not sure what your Maxis cast at.

I have a few 500 AE cases shoot me a address,I can spare a few. Pat Marlin makes a Black Powder lubing device that works well for maxi's
