For woods walking and fishing in the back country. Good price for a fairly good holster.

Cattleman by Rob Leahy at Simply Rugged. None better in my opinion.

BigboreShooter,

El Paso Saddlery is hard to beat, imVho. = I have one that I wore "on the job" for over 15 years (until we stopped carrying revolvers) & it still is good, if a little "best-up looking".

yours, tex

SP101 is too heavy for pocket carry.

I would recommend El Paso Saddlery C-Force IWB, which has reinforced opening to permit one-hand reholstering, a feature which I consider an absolute must! Non-negotiable!

Get trousers 2" larger in waist band than you would normally wear without holster.

Alien Gear 3.0 IWB. I don't carry every day of the week but I've had mine for 18 months or so with no complaint.

AG is pretty good. As is Galco King Tuck or Desantis Intruder or Invader. And Foxx makes a great one too. And then the best is Thies Holsters! One thing about leather backed hybrid holsters, they need a break in time. Once broken in, wow very comfortable.

Just about any hybrid holster is decent, as long as it has two clips and a heavy enough backing to disperse the weight and keep the weapon in place.

I carried my shorter barrel version in a leather pancake holster on strong side. Long shirt would cover it. Jacket did better. Needed a good belt cause of weight.

I've had a simply rugged holster (https://lifeundersky.com/shooting/gun-accessories/gun-holsters/)for my sp101 for several years. I think it has done its job well with decent retention. I do plan on down the road upgrading but need to get a couple of holsters for other guns first.

PS for outdoors work a shoulder or chest rig works best for me. Simply Rugged has a chest rig for their holsters that look like they will work with other pancake holsters as well.

There is an outfit called Craft Holsters that makes a neat IWB for the 4 inch SP101. https://www.craftholsters.com/open-muzzle-iwb-holster-p79. An acquaintance has a holster by this firm for his 1911 and it seems to be well constructed and properly fitted.
