Anyone have experience with the Timney replacement Sear and Springs?

The stock triggers ok for a shotgun, but horrible for slug shooting.

Any advise please.

Regards,

Steve

I've considered putting the Timney sear and spring on my 7400 Remington and have been scared off, by comments about trigger creep being unresolved. Also, many end users felt the package is over priced.

I have a 1952 REm 760 pump that has a decent trigger. You might try to find an older sear and hammer. The springs should cost no more than about a dime a piece if you can figure out what the replacements should be.

Package overpriced sure is.
Installation was very easy.
Adjustment was very easy as well.
Mid range spring and pull is adjusted to 1 pound 14 ounces and is quite consistent
within +/- 2 ounces.

Trigger is Schweet !

Now to get some range time.

Steve

PS. It was good to get into the inards of this shotgun and clean out years of debris. '

There's a place online that sells just the spring kit, and I think it's less than $20. But if fellow was handy I think you could modify the stock spring and reduce the pull some. I personally have never had one the was that bad that I couldn't live with.
