Want to start paper patching my 32 Special before the Fall months arrive. But? The Push-Thru die I need is currently not available from Lee. (.313)
S~o I have intentions of purchasing such a resizing die from NOE. As I know of no other business place other than Lee or NOE that makes custom Pass-Thru resizing dies?

S~o I was hoping some other caster here has purchased one of NOE's Pass-Thru dies. Hopefully those who have purchased are willing to share their experiences with using? (referrals & reviews are welcome)

Thanks to all who stopped-in to read this Thread.

I have a NOE push through sizer. They are really nice. However, there are differences. With one of my bullets, that casts at about 0.314, I could size to 0.309 with my Lee sizer, and I could size to 0.311 with my old Lyman sizer, but with all my strength I could not push that bullet through my NOE 0.310 sizer-- and that was lubed. Why the Lee could size that bullet down to 0.309 but the NOE could not size to 0.310 baffles me. I'm wondering if NOE sizers have a steeper angle that makes sizing more difficult.

I have the NOE sizer. I got it to nose size some bore riders. But I got a new caliber, and it was cheaper to get their insert. It works fine.
It is easy to hone out a Lee .311 to .313 with emery cloth and a dowel with a slit in it. It only takes a couple of minutes with a drill. Start with 220 grit for about 30 seconds between checks. when close go finer to polish

Lee dies have a very short section that sizes the boolit. I have no idea how long the sizing section is in the NOE dies, but I'll bet it is longer from what Hic said.

My NOE push through set is probably the finest example of machining of any gun related equipment I own. It's like jewelry -
I would never size anything more than a few thousandths - doing massive sizing cannot be any good for accuracy.

I use a NOE die to size bullets, prior to paper patching, for the correct bore size. And then after patching to the correct groove diameter. I am sizing .331 and .340, respectively. The NOE is, in my opinion, the better product.

Have a couple of Buckshot's Pass thru's he made for my 30-30.
Long tapered 3" bore/s. Wasn't a easy swagging .008th of a inch off a .309 in one pass. But it was certainly do'able with a little silicone spray applied to the dies bore.

I wish I had known about NOE's push through sizer when I started it would have saved me from buying 4 lee sizers. It is an excellent tool and crafted well. I find it convenient to just change out the insert to switch to another size...takes about 30 seconds. I have a cigar box now with 10 different inserts and I am sure I will be adding more....hopefully.

I wish NOE or Lee or someone would offer a die with titanium coating. This would allow sizing without any type of lube.

I have several NOE sizers (and expanders) in .25 cal
and .32 and 8mm and 45-70.

I'll be expanding my collection.

They are easy to use, and at a few bucks apiece,
I can fine tune boolits for individual rifles in the same caliber.

What a nightmare this "cast boolit" journey has become !!

I have the NOE pass thru and as long as I lube it good no problems easy quick change dies I have had to start sizing with a size larger on my 308 boolits they cast at 310 or 311 can't remember but I really like them.

I'm sitting here looking at my RCBS Lube-a-matic-2 and giving my 32 special Paper Patching Resizing conundrum some serious thought.
I can buy a L/a Matic.313 resizing die from Midway for 22.79 and postage 4.95

Or I can purchase a NOE push-thru resizer body for 39.95 and two other required components: 9.75 for their .313 Body die and its proper 32 cal Push Rod is 7.50.
Yup!! all three NOE Push-thru die pcs. for the paltry price of 57.20 plus postage 6.65.
Geeze decisions & more decisions!! (which resizer would you purchase IF you were me? )

Thanks

I used the Lee push rods since they were less than 2 bucks shipped. They can be ordered from the Lee website. Saved about 5 bucks per caliber.

Has Lee quit offering their custom push thru dies???

Last one I picked up was for a real odd ball about five years back..........they offered the thing as a package with lube.

They still offer them. But there is a wait time. If you need a bunch of different sizes the NOE system is cheaper over the long run. They also take up less storage space.

17 Lee dies would take up quite a bit of space compared to this.

No doubt if a home reloader wanting to cast. A NOE single push-thru die set and occasionally adding too such Set over the years would be ideal. Us old caster guys to resolve our need we had little choice in the market place. Lyman RCBS Star lubesizers are all that I can remember. Maybe others maybe not?

When i first noticed that NOE was making a push thru sizing system i was gonna go this route, i called to place my order and that is when I realized their stuff would NOT work for me, they list body, and nose, Example being, i needed Body bushings in .442, .448, .449 and so on, i needed 12-15 Body bushings, they only had nose bushings, The man i spoke with was a really nice guy and explained that they would not work for what i needed.

I ended up sticking with Lee and ordering Custom dies from them, 38.00 bucks for a custom die. I also use Tennessee bullet molds push through sizers, George is a great guy to deal with! His dies and push rods are different than Lee, but work the same way

You tube has 3 or 4 videos on these. Thanks beechbum444 I'll go check those videos out. Curious to see how they work.

I also use Tennessee bullet molds push through sizers, Just a suggestion. Perhaps if needing another Push-thru die someday contact Lathesmith here on the site and see what he has to offer.
