Whinchester 94 in 7x57r

Hi I am toying with the idea of using a winchester 94 big bore and chambering it in 7x57r.

You could turn the rims down from .532 to .506, a bit time consuming and would it leave much room for heaspace and the extractor (though I guess it could headspace on the shoulder).

Alternatively if doable modifying a bolt would be more desirable. Obviously opening up the bolt recess by .026" is easy, but do you think the extractor and ejector could work without modification?

Why not just neck down the 307 Winc to 7mm? Cases are available and already 'fit' in the Winchester or Marlin with no added work.
Consider:
"The 307 Winchester cartridge was introduced by Winchester in 1982 to meet the demand of .300 Savage performance in a lever-action rifle equipped with a tubular magazine. It is nearly dimensionally identical to the more common .308 Winchester cartridge, the only differences being a rimmed base and thicker case walls."

7x57R won't fit no how no way. It is too long for the 94 Winchester.
Better to go with the 7-30 Waters or the 7mm STE as Shawlerbrook mentioned.

7x30 Waters is great, an AI version would be even better ( less backthrust)

Skip 7mm all together. There are very few flat tipped bullets that will work in the magazine. Even so more than half of the bullet has to be flat tipped (larger than .210) to prevent magazine issues.

It would fit well in the BB being discussed but cast only with the Saeco 140 gr or a custom fp. If I were to wildcat a lever it wouldn't be a tube feed.
