Savage Semi Auto?

The wife and i picked up a $2000.00 WD set for $350.00 of Craigs list because everybody here in Vegas seems to be foreclosed on. So this guy is digging out a Semi Auto Savage in 300 Savage and he is going to call me today to come look at it. Anyone heard of such a thing?

It's most likely a Remington Model 81 Sportsman, made until 1950, and IIRC, the only commercial semi-auto available in .300 Savage.
