Here's one that's not seen very often...
At first glance, a typical Winchester 1882 loading tool. Not terribly well known, but not all that uncommon. These are usually to be found in .32, .38, or .44 W.C.F., the occasional .22 W.C.F., or even in one of the myriad of other BP cartridges chambered in the Model 1885 Single Shot.
196916
But wait! This one says ".38 S. & W. SPL." on it!
196915
And the icing on the cake: it has the original decapping tool!
(These are almost ALWAYS missing)
196917
Digging into my Winchester catalogs, I could only find the loading tool listed as available for .38 Special in Catalog No.79 (1914). The previous one, No.78 (Jan. 1911), did not list .38 Special available in the loading tool, and the by next one, No.80 (1916), loading tools no longer appeared in the catalogs at all.
