Short brass

I have some 30-30 brass that has been blown out to 38-55. It measures right at 2" with is .085" short. Its too short to reach the crimp in my rcbs dies. Would a lee factory crimp die reach it? Thanks

Possibly may reach, but get the Lee die anyway. They are easily modified by removing metal from the bottom of the sliding sleeve, in this case, remove .085" and it will fit your needs. I have done this to a few Lee factory crimp dies for use with cartridges they were never designed for. I've also added metal to accommodate cartridges longer than the original die intended.
