Well I just wasted a couple weeks making a ton of lee .452 300g bullets that won't feed. The wide meplate catches and jams.

Any suggestions on a bullet mold that will be a little rounder to cycle in my action and be good for deer and bear?

Have you tried seating the bullets deeper without compressing the powder? Be careful, do it a little at a time, shooting samples as you go keeping an Eye on over-pressure

I'll have to make a dummy round again and keep seating it deeper to try. I seated and crimped to 2 075" with the lee 300g and the meplate hits the outside of the chamber keeping it from feeding.

Seated them deeper to 2.035" and 2.0". Both functiond and fed fine. I had them too long. Loaded them up at 2.035" and am ready to go.

I know it's been awhile since you posted. What oal did you settle on. I'm in the process of loading same bullet. 450 sure is addictive.

Great timing for this thread, just got my 450 B upper yesterday and was wondering what mold to get.

I'm using Lyman 330 gr HP "Gould" in my Ruger bolt.

The lee is a bit wide and flat to feed well. I have the mold, not even going to mess with it. Was looking at something more pointed on accurate mold site. Be a 300gr, get rid of the lube grooves so I can powder coat easier and no crimp groove. I can load the 300gr hornady XTP, but the crimp groove is right where you want to crimp on a case that headspaces on the lip of the case. They worked, fed and fired, just has to be something better.
