I have an old Lyman Mold Master XX twenty pound bottom pour furnace. Somewhere in all my junk....er, treasures is the guide for the molds that mounts to the 2 legs. Does this guide help or hinder bullet casting? It seems like years ago when I got it, I took the guide off, as it seemed to get in the way and not all molds I used were the same height. Now, I am casting some 4 and 5 cavity that would be easier with some support. I have one of my ingot molds turned upside down and I set the mold on it, but it is too short. Would it be better if I got another of the guides and put it back on? If I cannot find the old guide, does anyone have one they want to part with?

My mold guide has a set screw on each side that works against both pot support legs. My mold guide is long and wide enough to work with all my molds even the ones with a screw head below the mold blocks. I took my adjustable mold stop off cause I pour my farthest cavity first. Good Luck finding yours.
