OK guys. I got this the other day because it needs a little work. I should be able to get this re attached via careful welding but the problem is I need to get it apart and I don't want to ruin it. How does this thing come apart? are the side knobs screwed together? Pinned? Any help would be appreciated.

If you can figure out who made the sight you might be money ahead so send it back and let the manufacturer repair it.

There has to be a screw that you can back off in one of the straight knurled knobs. Once the screw is backed out the other knob and internal screw should back out.

If there is no screw head examine the knobs with a loupe or a magnifying glass. You may find a threaded stud used to lock one knob on. I would recommend that you call the manufacturer if you find this.

that looks like an early Shaver sight, mine broke the same way..call Lee and he may fix it..or at least tell you how to take it apart
mine is from 1992 and I hardly remember how I took it apart
you can google Lee shaver

Well I did get this apart. Just screwed apart, it was a little tight due to some loctite. The tack welding went good and I should be able to get it re-blued in the next few days. We have a 9 month old so things always take way longer than I think they should.
