Hello, was got this awhile ago in a bulk buy and have no use for it. It came with no instructions and so I am unable to verify if everything is there. It appears to have dies for 12 and 16 gauge. Is there any demand for these or are they just paperweights anymore?

My church held a skeet shoot two weeks ago. Most of the ammo used was 12 ga. Some used 20 ga and a very few shot 16 ga. I have the shot hulls to sort and give away on Cast Boolits. Yes the most popular by far was 12 ga. and the least used ( or worst shots) were 16 ga.195739195741195742 By the way our head pastor is in the white hat with a red shirt. Last year he took first place overall.195743 Ear to ear grin is our executive pastor.

Thanks for the response, but sadly that does not answer my question?

I have never heard of anyone using one of those.
I guess you can use one if you are determined to load a few shells but if the goal is load a shootable quantity of ammo such as for skeet or trap you need a much better loader.
In this case better means faster because that thing looks really slow.

Loading shot shells get boring really fast so you need a loader that will help you make some progress if you want to load 6 or 8 boxes of ammo.

It might be ok for the occasional box of buckshot but I cannot think of much else to do with one.

I know where one is at. Been tempted to buy it but keep talking myself out.

The Thalson is unusual, at least over here. I think it is French in origin, but not sure. Somewhere in Europe, anyway. By all accounts, they were well made tools.

There are shotshell press and tool collectors. Check on the ARTCA site; a bunch of them hang out there.

Looks like single stage press, But instead of changing dies, inserts are changed. Intersting...

I should have one but never got around to getting one. Maybe someday.

I believe they use a unique die setup that is seldom available on this side of the water?

what do you want for it?

I think they are OK for a low volume user. Much like some of the
lyman sets that did it all with a couple hand tools. I think the Thalson is better in that it is one bench mounted tool.
BUT, you gotta have or make all the peices.

If you want to unload it PM me
