If someone would be so kind as to run some 45/70 data I would appreciate it very much.

45/70
2.095" Brass
535 Grain Bullet 1.413" Long
Seated to 2.887" OAL

45/70
2.095" Brass
500 Grain Bullet 1.320" long
Seated to 2.810" OAL

Working with H4198 powder. This is for a Pedersoli Sharps so I need to keep it under 29,000 PSI/CUP as listed in their manual (not that they tell which one they're going by but I don't plan to get them that high up anyway.)

Maybe a load range from 16-25K would be the best info I could ask for.

Thank you!
I just noticed quick load is down to $150. Wasn't it over $300 not too long ago? I might have to get a copy with my next bonus.

Here are some numbers.
I used my bullets and changed the entry values to match your cartridge OAL and Bullet Length.

Hope this helps.

P.S. If I remember correctly, the price has been the same for quite a few years but I could be mistaken.

Thank you you so much!
I have to buy this program. I could have sworn it was twice the price. I also have a MAC and didn't feel like dealing with running it on the MAC in the past so I haven't looked at it in years.
Either way I'm happy to hear that and very happy that you could run numbers for me. Thanks man!
Looks like the NOE is almost an exact copy of the Lyman I'm using so that's great too.

Yep, The NOE mold has the same dimensions as the Lyman Postell with the option of 2 different diameters.

It is the most accurate bullet that I have ever shot in my Pedersoli Sharps 45-70.

In fact, Just yesterday, I finished mounting a full length Leatherwood scope on the Pedersoli and, after zeroing and 3 elevation change shots, I shot this 6 shot group.

195629

After the Precision Load Records Scoring software (http://www.tmtpages.com/New_Prec_BR/HelpRec/hs162.htm) eliminated the three elevation adjustment shots as fliers, it sored the remaining 6 shot group at 0.493".
The Load used CCI match primers, neck turned and annealed Starline brass, a duplex load of 52 grains Olde Eynsford 2X an 5.2 grains IMR 4759 with a muzzle velocity of 1194 fps.

In two weeks I'll be shooting in an 800, 900, 1000 yard match, to see if that accuracy holds up at a distance.

That is some good shooting for sure.
Last week was my first time take my pedersoli Sharps out to 500 yards. It was all guess work as I had never really read up on the adjustment of the rear sight.
I had a couple hits on a 12" plate but the light was very low at that point and it was hard to see the target.
I cant wait to load some test cartridges tonight.

Thanks again

Got an app for this? I won't use a PC unless I am forced to by a bureaucrat.
