Thank you Lord for a world filled with Brothers!
Thank you for helping Brother Boaz find his way back. It is so good to see him back on his feet fighting the good fight. I know we all have feet of clay, we all stumble and fall. Thank you for helping him get back on his feet. Please help him stay there Lord.

Glory be to God in the Highest!

Took a couple of pictures today , meant to do more but traffic and dealing with the public do not allow . It's amazing when you have the right mind set and don't dwell on the problems of this world what you notice . It's not that bad out there ...if you don't make it bad .

I left the house , hit the farm to market road and bout 2 mile down saw this on the back of a 40 big rig trailer. Talk about uplifting ! These folks got an interstate ministry going on ! (ps ..don't recommend taking pictures going 60mph)

Small thing but the cactus are starting to bloom ! They will be covered and pretty in a few days .

I found the monument about a month ago . The unbelievable thing to me is that it's one block from the shop !! An old vacant office building ? Who put it up ? It dang sure wasn't cheap ! I have driven by time to time to see it . Wish it was in a place many could see it , bout 6 feet high .

Do you have a picture , comment you could offer . We live in a fallen world but GOD through his love and caring has made it a good and bearable place to those that see the good in it . Do you see the good ?

Your wife , your children , your dog ? Is GOD helping you make it ? Hunting pictures , even gun pictures , has he done right by you ? Has he tried to help , do you see his hand in your life ? All glory is his ...all credit goes to him . And GOD said ;

I AM THAT I AM .

Thanks, Charlie! I love these posts of yours. One of the great hallmarks of a mature Christian is how thankful they are for all the "little things" in life that truly, in the end, wind up being SO important, in the end. And humility is another great hallmark of a true, mature Christian. It comes, I think, from simply recognizing how truly weak and "soft" we really are? But that fellow (or gal?) who put up those stones was obviously humble, and didn't want anything detracting from the greater message those passages can have, if folks will but simply allow them to. Anonymnity CAN be a real virtue! Whenever someone has come to thank me for a decision THEY made, I've always pointed out that if I took credit for their doing something good, then I'd also have to take credit if they did something not-so-good! And I wasn't willing to do that, so I simply pointed out that THEY did what they did, and all I could claim or be was a very simple influence. But THEY had to do the rest, so all credit for doing good HAD to be on THEIR OWN heads, and not mine!

It seems to be these days that many do "charity" for the recognition it brings them, and at least sometimes, the increase in business it can draw from admirers of the "good works." But Christ said it's not by works that one is saved, but by every word that comes from Him. And so it continues to be today. And praise and thanks are two of the few things we can do today that is fully pleasing to our Master, I think. Not one of us was guaranteed to see the light of this day, and many didn't, because they went to their rewards last night. Each day IS a wonder and a great blessings, even though it's sometimes replete with challenges and opportunities to serve. I sometimes wonder if many today simply don't WANT to realize that, lest they might have to DO something they are disinclined to do? But thankfulness is, and I think always will be, one of the great hallmarks of a mature Christian. It simply gives credit where credit really IS due - to God, and NOT to some vacuous, inevitability that many imagine it to, who don't accept or believe in the Living God. I feel for them!

Thankfulness for all the "little things" keeps our eyes on the prize. Getting caught up in the things and events of this world keep our eyes turned away from what's best for us. Anyone who can't enjoy and be inspired by a beautiful sunrise or sunset, or a field of flowers, or a nice, rainy day, really can't appreciate much of anything but those things that will some time pass away, and leave us. Those sunsets, etc., stay with us forever, because each time we see and appreciate them, they put a little something in us that never goes away. Not ever. We spend SO much time spinning our wheels chasing the things that will pass away, and so little in the things that will be with us forever, is it any wonder what the world and our nation have become today??? Truly, thankfulness is a Christian's greatest strength in this world, and humility our best armor.
