Thinking about putting a bipod on my CVA Elite Stalker .243 single shot rifle.
Anyone done this ? What brand would be good for my rifle?
Been searching the internet and so far I found nothing but confusion.
Thanks for the replies.

The Harris brand swivel base with leg notch's is my favorite.

For the money, the Harris above is great. If money is not an option, the Atlas bipods are very nice. A buddy has an even higher priced bipod that he really likes. I personally would not go with the Caldwell or other copy of the Harris. For a hunting bipod, you will want the cant/swivel and leg notches for fast deployment.

Let me confirm the above recommendations. I've been using a Harris bi-pod from the early 80s for varmint shooting and they were also issued to us as part of the kit for the M24 and the Mk 18 rifles in the Army. I also had an adapter for one so that I could use one on my M16A2 back when that was still the issue rifle. I've never seen one break and the improved model that swivels a bit is my favorite.

I used the Caldwell copy of the Harris. Worked fine, but was made pretty cheaply. Did like it, made me want a Harris, though I think the Caldwell was about 1/2 the cost.

Harris has always worked for me.

Harris first, last,&always. They are worth the seemingly high cost.
I'm still using my 1980 model. I gulped and paid the 30 some-odd dollars for it & got over it the first time I used it.

If quality is paramount, get a Rempel out of Canada.

I'll join the Harris swivel crowd, but if money is tight I found that the walmart clone works pretty good,

and my UTG Bipod is still working OK for a basic hunting one (TL-BP69ST).

I have a Harris I rarely use , for some reason I tend to shoot better when using a sling . Don't know why though ..........

I have harris bipods but in the last year or so have been using "BLACKHALK" from Walmart low price and does just as good, works great for bench shooting,

another vote for harris but like was said buck up for the swivel model and pay attention to your normal use and how long legs you need.

I purchases a couple off from Amazon. I have a Harris that I have had for years and it works well. The new ones from China work just as well. I can't figure out how the Chinese can build a product, package it, ship it free from China for the measly sum of 16.00! It is just a bipod afterall. All is does is hold the end of my rifle steady. I am not a big 'name brand' supporter when the 'name brand' is 4X the price for the mostly same thing. The only one that I need to impress is...me! I prefer to spend my extra money on ammo and range time.

I'd like to find one of the discontinued hornady delta stands.
