Hello all,
A friend and I have been working with his 38-55 rifle and I have the "bug". I've noticed there are some 2016 production Winchester Traditional Hunter single shot rifles available. Anyone have one of these? I would be interested in your experience with them and your impressions.
Thanks,
Rick

Gunbroker. Several listed in the $1,300 range. I think I want one too! Comes with the tang sight and 28" barrel if I remember correctly. Hopefully someone here has one and can tell us what they think about it.
Take care,
Rick

I would love to tell you guys about one I just picked up. Trouble is I was in the hospital with knee surgery and don't know when I will get out there to tell you anything significant. It will be as soon as I am able I promise you.

There is one at that price level with about 12 hours to go on GB. Not that I am enabling anyone. :)

I've got one of the 1885 safari rifles coming in 375H&H. The plan is to load it to 38-55/375 Win. velocities, but i do have to shoot some full bore stuff just to see what the fuss is about! They are on clearance at a price i just couldn't pass on.

OK, I will be nice and tell you guys about the one at Cabelas, near Baton Rouge, LA. Saw it the other day and it was priced at $849 IIRC. Almost followed me home. Was just about new.

Can't tell you about the 38-55 but I have one in 45-70 that I really enjoy. Lee Shaver trigger mod really worthwhile unless you enjoy lawyer-triggers.
