Where can I obtain replacement laminated birch, walnut, or maple buttstock and foreend for current Marlin M1895 rifles? I seek a stock shape identical with the current pistol grip 1895s.
I am aware I can buy Marlin-manufactured laminated birch stock. I loathe the color and Marlin will not make the stock of another color. I seek a dark brown/walnut/mahogany color rather than gray. Were I satisfied with birch, Rutland makes stock blanks in a satisfactory color. This does not solve the problem. Stock blank is not a stock.
