Here's my next project about half done. I'm using a left handed lock I picked up at Alifia and put in stock that just didn't work or look right. It's still in the rough but all the brass and steel is in place and it's throwing a nice spark. The barrel is an older Japanese one and needs to be honed and polished to clean up some light machining marks. It's patterned off a British Light Dragoon pistol from around the 1770's. I included a shot of it with the .69 caliber pistol just for comparison.195043195044195045 It still needs to be shaped, I find it is easier to inlet when the blank is "square" and then do the finial shaping and rounding of the blank. The wood is some slab walnut I cut about thirty years ago and have been dragging around since.
