Peter warns us .

Satan would like to see you dead or at the least destroy you and the ones you love through temptation . GOD may test you but he will never tempt you , GOD created and loves you , he wants us to succeed . James warns us .

James 14;7

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

GOD is our defense , GOD is our strength . Living in his light is our preservation to spread his word . Without him is to fail .

John warns us .

"You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Corinthians 11;3

But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

You might think your above him but Satan knows you . The father of all lies , the great deceiver . The consummate pure evil .
We have to stay in the light and listen to the Holy Spirit within us . Rely on GOD .

This is everywhere , only took a second to find these links . We as Christians don't fully understand the magnitude of Satan's work . Imagine the uninformed with no support in today's world . We are given the work to spread GOD's word . J Frank Norris , a charismatic Baptist preacher often said ; I love you but your going to hell ! He also said ;I would do anything to keep a man out of Hell , it's on his tombstone .

I know he exists. I know he causes a lot of problems for a lot of people.

I dislike acknowledging him or talking about him as I do not want his attention on me.

But I need to find the courage of my convictions and stand up and be counted. Yeah, that was me standing up.

lets get in the real world of a christian. he has had too much glory in the previous posts. he is nothing when the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is stated to him and his clan. remember in the end he will be led into the pit by a low ranked angel leading him by a chain. the great evil men of the world who are there will say, is this the one we followed and look at him with contempt and see that he is nothing. dont dwell on him. use the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ when ever you can. even Satan has to obey God when God gives him a order. always remember as saved christians your name is wrote in the lambs book of life. satan cant erase it from that book. also your prayers are a fence between satan and the ones you are praying for. think of God and his Son all the time, the other guy is going to be thrown into the lake of fire. enough of the fallen one.

The best ruse Satan has ever come up with in this world, is to have many declare that he's dead, or never existed! But he's FAR from dead, and is probably MORE active now than ever. And he's learned, too, and his work is more subtle than it has been in the past. But MORE effective! And not one of us is immune to temptation just because we believe. If anything, Satan may well throw more temptations at us than he does to non-believers. This actually makes sense. Why waste time on those who are already in his corner?

And probably is 2nd best day's work (if not the first?) is probably providing believers with ready-made excuses for NOT doing what Christ gave us to do. And he's the all time master of progressive erosion of the human spirit and behavior. Just a tiny step at first, because "it's not that bad" or "nobody will ever know." But the next time, it's a bit more, and the next, yet still more, and so on. Next thing you know, you've "lost your religion!!!"

Our eyes do indeed need to be on Christ, and His words, but we must NEVER forget .... that we're the preferred prey of the Evil One. To do so is to make ourselves much easier prey for him! Little things matter, and they also add up over time. Satan wasn't called the "great deceiver" for nothing!!!

This is all true but we are told in James 4:7 ..... resist the devil and he must flee. Calling on the name of Jesus is the most important ingredient but not the only one. For example, If a believer has a problem with internet porn but refuses to get rid of the internet, then there is no resistance. I have counseled numerous men over the years who refused to DO what was necessary to be free from sin but claimed to be praying constantly.

You have to be willing to give up what you know is wrong. Most are not, they would rather make excuses and keep backsliding.

Repentance must be genuine, you must make good faith effort to go forth and sin no more. Most of those with problems have no desire to quit. They just don't want to be stuck, caught or punished.
