Father, I come to You to pray for healing and grace for Ellen. She is facing an illness that You know and only You can guide the surgeons that will perform the surgery. Please guide them and whisper in their ears the proper path to follow to heal her and restore her to her family. I also implore You to watch over Jason and their children. When a wife and mother is sick the worry of the rest of the family is immense. Please take all the fear away. Father, please guide Jason as he tends to his very young children and let his special time with them be rewarded with the healing of his wife and the increase of the special bond that a father has with his children. Lastly, I ask that You guide the physicians and the medical team that will help Ellen heal and please make the family complete again. AMEN

Thanks for the update Jim. For many, many years, I'd never been in the hospital, so really didn't realize how big a deal it was. There's nothing like personal experience, especially if one has been as independent as I'd always been prior to that. Now I understand so much better what all is truly involved, and it's a lot more than I'd thought. Taking care of the kids may at least make them and him more appreciative of all that Mom does? And maybe the kids will, due to this event, realize better that tomorrow is promised to none of us, of any age, and hopefully, bring them closer to God because of this experience. Most kids think of God as a kind of "candy store" where they go to when they want something. Too many adults never really outgrow this illusion. Tough times make for tough people, and it takes tough people to survive in this world, that's so full of evil and danger. We all instinctively want to shelter our kids, but .... life is what it is, and the world is what it is, and though I hate it's that way sometimes, maybe it's best for us all to go through times like these? It takes an awful lot of force to keep our attentions riveted to reality, and maybe especially these days? God bless this family and their friends.

I know that Jason is glad that Ellen's surgery went well and I give God all the praise for guiding the medical team that did the surgery. Jason still faces the struggle to keep the kid's fed and clean while his bride recovers.....that is a challenge in itself....God bless this family and hold them in the palms of His hands!

As Blackwater said, until you've been in the hospital yourself you don't know what it's like. Prayers sent for both Jason and Ellen. May God bless them both as Jason helps Ellen recover.

Often, it's the aftercare that's the most challenging. She is truly fortunate to have a good man like you to fall back on during her "down time!" God bless you both, and make her recovery time short! Amen.
