Just saw a Hensley and Gibbs 6 cavity 68BB mold come up on eBay. It is listed as new condition without box.
It looks really nice in the pictures.
Starting bid is $245

I saw that. I think for a collector/caster that would be fine.
But there are way many of those 68's out there.
Not an uncommon mould.
I doubt it will sell this time around. At $245 shipped MAYBE......

Oh it sold alright. Just under $400 final bid. Unbelievable.

I don't understand why people bid so high. But then most casters have no idea of NOE, NEI, LBT, Accruate, and how ever many other custom mold makers their are.

Wait until the buy lifts that about 200 times. He should have a developed upper body.
Good Luck

He will either build a mold guide or put it back on Ebay.

There's a noob on Facebook that wants to have some 10 cavity molds built. Right now he has a single NOE four cavity and is selling boolits made from it. He's using catch as catch can alloy. I have a feeling he thinks he's going to get rich if he can get a bigger mold.

While an aluminum 10 cavity wouldn't be as heavy as a iron 10 cavity it's still a lot of mold to be dealing with.

Very true. I have no desire to have one that big.

I have a 6 cavity H&G #50 mold that I don't use because it is too heavy for comfort. For that boolit, a 4 cavity H&G w/guide works great. H&G molds work great but are not worth a big premium when a MP, NOE or Accurate mold is available(although I haven't tried Accurate yet).

I have signed up for a 8 cavity aluminum mold from MP. It may or may not turn out to be a mistake for me. I just need to produce a lot of 9mm boolits for sons and grandsons.
